- Participate devoutly in a sacred function or pious exercise in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary, or spend some time in humble prayer to God.
- For the prayer alternative, conclude with the Our Father, Creed and a devout Marian invocation.
The work and its conditions
A plenary indulgence also requires complete detachment from every sin, sacramental confession, Holy Communion, and prayer for the Pope’s intentions, subject to the grant’s stated exceptions. The ordinary limit is one plenary indulgence per day.
Conditions common to every indulgence
The person gaining an indulgence must be baptized, not excommunicated, and in the state of grace at least when the prescribed works are completed. There must be at least a general intention to gain indulgences, and the prescribed work must be performed at the time and in the manner required by the grant.
Read the full conditions and norms. The cited grant and its specific provisions govern.
Time required
Read each branch with its own conditions. An editorial estimate is not a prescribed minimum.
Sacred service or devotion
Complete the prescribed event
Length of the chosen service or devotion
No numerical minimum is prescribed. The chosen liturgical or devotional work and the separately prescribed prayers for the spread of the faith in Ukraine and the Pope’s intentions remain part of this route.

Occasion and source notes
These are the current local dates published in January 2026, replacing the former Julian-calendar civil dates in the 2017 original. First-Saturday prayer meetings are not additional indulgenced occasions. Confirm any local transfer. For the individually dated church visit, Norm 14 permits the visit from noon on the preceding day until midnight ending the observance. Follow the local calendar and access hours. The required pilgrimage, prayers, eligibility and frequency limits remain in force; attending an actual rite is still necessary if that is the chosen alternative. A preceding-day opening is shown only when both that opening and the observance fall within the documented grant or review period.
Current status is confirmed by the UGCC in January 2026. The renewal bears a 2025 protocol and an April 2024 petition date but no distinct signature date; an exact expiry is not inferred. The original June 2017 date is rendered inconsistently in later summaries. The 9 January 2027 review date is an editorial recheck, not an expiry. Exact work follows the signed original, whose grant is renewed.
