The prescribed work
- Unite spiritually with the jubilee celebrations, offering prayers, sufferings or the difficulties of life to the merciful God.
- Reject every sin and intend to fulfil the ordinary three conditions as soon as possible.

Conditions common to every indulgence
The person gaining an indulgence must be baptized, not excommunicated, and in the state of grace at least when the prescribed works are completed.
