Confirm the proper calendar and lawful transfers with the association.

- Who
- Actual members of the Vincentian Archconfraternity of the Holy Agony named in the 1995 decree.
- Application
- Self or the departed
The prescribed work
- Be an actual member of the Archconfraternity of the Agony of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Gethsemane named in Prot. 120/95/I. This is the Vincentian association founded at Valfleury and centered at the Lazarist motherhouse in Paris.
- On the actual enrollment day or one of the named annual occasions, express or renew, at least interiorly, the intention to observe the archconfraternity’s statutes.
- Fulfill the usual plenary conditions: sacramental confession, Holy Communion, prayer for the Pope’s intentions, and complete detachment from every sin.
The work and its conditions
A plenary indulgence also requires complete detachment from every sin, sacramental confession, Holy Communion, and prayer for the Pope’s intentions, subject to the grant’s stated exceptions. The ordinary limit is one plenary indulgence per day.
Conditions common to every indulgence
The person gaining an indulgence must be baptized, not excommunicated, and in the state of grace at least when the prescribed works are completed. There must be at least a general intention to gain indulgences, and the prescribed work must be performed at the time and in the manner required by the grant.
Read the full conditions and norms. The cited grant and its specific provisions govern.
Time required
Read each branch with its own conditions. An editorial estimate is not a prescribed minimum.
Enrollment or a named member occasion
Duration varies
No fixed number of minutes is prescribed
The actual enrollment or eligible celebration is necessary. The statutory intention may be expressed or renewed interiorly; no invented prayer formula or timed exercise is added. Usual plenary conditions remain separate.
What the time estimate excludes
- Separately fulfilled sacramental conditions and travel
Occasion and source notes
Documented availability in this library begins 27 October 1995. This marks the period supported by the reviewed evidence, not an independently established legal commencement date.
The decree names liturgical celebrations, so follow the lawful calendar applicable to the member. The displayed July 14 is the General Roman Calendar date for St Camillus; local calendars can differ. These membership occasions do not receive a preceding-noon church-visit window.
The official journal expressly renews the concession in perpetuity. Current Congregation of the Mission sources establish the continuing association identity; they are not represented as a new rescript. The exact proper celebration and erection-anniversary dates remain for confirmation with the association. This listing’s evidence begins on 27 October 1995, the date of the reviewed renewal; it does not establish the association’s original institution date or the first commencement of its earlier privileges.
The common decree requires the statutory intention on every eligible occasion, in addition to the usual plenary conditions. Membership is required; wearing a red scapular, attending a monthly devotion, or belonging to another Gethsemane group does not establish eligibility. The decree lists enrollment itself, not an annual anniversary of personal enrollment.
