Editorial estimate
About 1–10 minutes for a brief devout visit
No fixed minute minimum is prescribed. This editorial allowance is for the visit and prayer, which may be mental; travel and walking from a distant entrance are separate. November 1–8 is an eligibility window, not an eight-day attendance requirement.
What the time estimate excludes
- Ordinary travel to and from the venue, and waiting outside the prescribed work
- Preparation and the ordinary conditions for a plenary indulgence, unless they are themselves part of the prescribed work

Follow the prayer count and formula specified in the requirements.
