Devout recitation: linked English formula estimate
Editorial estimate
About 1–2 minutes to recite the linked English formula
No fixed minute minimum is prescribed. This editorial range covers the complete English formula in the linked approved Manual at 100–160 words per minute, rounded outward. Original-language and other approved forms have not been measured here. Observe the prayer’s proper liturgical time and circumstances; chant, pauses and the surrounding service can take longer.
What the time estimate excludes
- Ordinary travel to and from the venue, and waiting outside the prescribed work
- Preparation and the ordinary conditions for a plenary indulgence, unless they are themselves part of the prescribed work
